WHERE TO FIND GOD

WHERE TO FIND GOD
There is no particular place fixed for one to see God. This is because God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must do so in truth and in spirit. Remember what Jesus Christ told the Samaritan woman.
19 "Sir," the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem."
21 Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4: 19-24
You can see God anywhere relevant for you to see Him. It is God’s will, not yours, that has to be done. Very importantly, people can see God in spirit, in dreams, in visions, in trances, etc.
Adam and Eve meet God in the Garden of Eden; Moses met Him at the burning bush, the Israelites meet Him on Mount Sinai; Daniel and Isaiah met Him in visions; etc. Personally, I have met God in the sky, in the Heaven, in the dream and in the trance, even physically.
You can find God and see Him in any of the following places:
- The Heavens
But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Matthew 5:34
- In Silence
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10
1 "Keep silence before Me, O coastlands,
And let the people renew their strength!
Let them come near, then let them speak;
Isaiah 41:1
- Within Yourself (and In Your Heart)
This is the reason why people are being advised to have self-knowledge (to know that they are spirit). Your spirit self and God reside inside your body. It is up to you to decide whether you should continue to live as yourself or allow God to transform you into all Godliness. Jesus came to demonstrate this possibility and reality. He proved it, saying, “At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” John 14:20
Again he said,
Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. John 14:8-11
How else can you prove this? Next time, when you encounter a challenge, listen and observe carefully. You will discover that somebody speaks to you in silence, in a still small voice, in your heart, telling you what to do to overcome the challenge or problem. That person is God. That is why people do say, “it occurred to me to do something…”
- At His Festivals
It is a pity that many are busy seeking God where He is not, while some others are already enjoying His Presence in their midst.
5 Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, 6 saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented."
7 And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."
8 The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! 11 And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 8:5-12
I bear witness that of all the festivals ordained by God, which festivals I have attended, that I met and saw God in each of those festivals. But of the festivals which are man-made and which I have attended, I have not for once seen or met God in those man-made festivals.
- In Nature (The Universe)
God is without all things controlling them, and within all things centering them. He is a friend and companion of all living things. He is like the sun, which is outside the earth, controlling the earth with gravitational force and revolution, and at the same time it is inside the earth in the form of light sustaining life, and also as heat inside the ground, empowering chemical reactions.
- In Holy Places
8 And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. Exodus 25:8
The holy places include: the churches, the temples, the fellowship centers, the crusade arenas, the prayer camp sites, the prayer houses, the chapels, and your body and spirit.
